Working closely with Russell Creative Group of Salem, OR, we designed and developed a new website for Mercer Windows of Beaverton, OR.
The new site integrates their new logo and identity branding into a cleaner look and new navigation system while bring the site up to modern web standards using CSS and XHTML.

This was a total rework of an existing website based on traditional table based layouts to modern, Cascading Style Sheet and web standards design.
The site maintains the original look and feel of the original table based design while achieving the benefits of CSS and web standard design in performance and ease of updating or adding new content.

The homepage for The Open Grove: a non-profit organization based in Denver Colorado.
The site was a rework of an older, frames based site, to bring it up to modern web standards. The site makes extensive use of web standard compliant code including Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) which allows the theme of the entire site to be quickly changed per season simply by replacing one style sheet and some core graphics. The primary site content never needs to be revised when the theme is changed.
By using Cascading Style Sheets, one unique CSS file for each seasonal look and feel, updating the site season to season was as easy and replacing a single file on the server.

The site is intended to be fun, informative, and a central location for information related to manufactured homes in Washington State.
The site makes use of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for a completely table-less layout that is fluid in how it centers in the browser window, and fast in terms of performance and ease of updating.

The website, hand coded and fully W3C compliant, was created as part of a identity package for a new business consulting company. The related components included letter head, business cards, envelopes and note cards which build on the same, elegantly simple logo and two color design.

Simple and clean was the clients preference while laying the ground work for future changes and expansion as the business grows over the years.

The objective of the site was simple. Create a distinct presence for the Canadian distributor of PowerCADD.
In this instance the client needed a clean, simple layout which allowed for easy updating and clear communication with new and prospective users of this 2D Computer Aided Design product.
In this case, the solution used a product the client already had (free) which allows content to be easily created and edited with a minimum of fuss. The clean layout, coupled with web standards compliant coding has the added benefit of keeping the page size overhead to a minimum which maintains crisp performance even over dial-up connections.

This is a database driven, content management system (CMS) website based on the free open source product Drupal which forms the core of the online community for this Denver, CO based Apple user group.
Various community features include numerous online forums, an interactive glossary of terms, product reviews, and polls. The system supports various levels of access privileges for guests, members only, officers only, thereby allowing site administration and content creation to be a collaborative effort, distributed among club members.

Erico Motorsports Riders Association of Triumph (EMRAT)
This is the club website for a Denver, Colorado, Triumph Motorcycle riders group. The primary objective was to create a group presence on the internet where they can provide basic information about the club.
This site is completely hand coded using a table-less, Cascading Style Sheet layout that reflows automatically to fit the width of a browser window (all browsers, all platforms). The next phase of the work will entail developing a database driven, Content Management System website to create a fully integrated online riding community for EMRAT members.

caddpower.com is content management system (CMS) website based on Drupal. The primary objective of the site is to provide clean, and direct access for how to type content. The interface is simple and minimal so content is easy to find and understand.

huc.ca: a live demo site

Typically I prefer to hand code using various types of WYSIWYG and plain text editors to create my own content and code. Problem is I’m also a big Apple fan so when iWeb (part of iLife ‘06) came out I just had to see what it could do.
The result is this series of web pages for my own huc.ca domain. All I’ve done is simple redirect to my dot.mac account to display this content. In fact this entire site was really an experiment and part of a series of iWeb How To demo’s I’ve given to various clients or at user group sessions. Think of it all as a live demo site :)
As a version 1.x product, iWeb is interesting and has some promise. It won’t put me out of a job but it sure does make it fun and easy to do some pretty nice looking stuff.
